Olly Timing v2.8.0 brings a range of improvements to help operators deliver a better timing service.
Users will welcome the cleaner appearance, improved visibility of key information and more intuitive navigation. This release also includes many performance improvements and fixes.
Faster setup for mobile OllyGo systems
Operators of mobile OllyGo systems get faster setup and easier fine tuning. The new pre-saved pool configuration feature allows rapid setup of a pool you have visited before. Configuration can also be fine tuned while timing is in progress, so there is no longer any need to pause racing.
A more mature platform
Beyond the specifics of this release, the Olly Timing software has reached a level of maturity not seen before. A single code base lets users switch easily between systems, and lets us deliver improvements to more people, faster. Moving more capabilities to the cameras brings improved resilience, faster setup times and less hardware.
Availability
v2.8.0 will be available to customers running Olly Timing “Gen 2” systems during their next update cycle.
