20 parents did not rush here tonight!

Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre hosted the NSW Senior State Swimming Short Course championships this weekend.

Thanks to Swimming NSW and Olly Timing, 20 parents did not have to rush through Friday night Sydney traffic to fulfil their club timekeeping duties.

The combination of Friday night and the large number of 1,500m events reduced the number of people available, especially as volunteer officials were already requisitioned for lap counting.

In addition to the 20 absent parents, competitors also benefitted from Olly Timing’s video replay. Queries about placings and times were quickly and authoritatively resolved by officials.

Olly Timing thanks SNSW for the opportunity to support its members.

One day all swimming carnivals will be run this way!
