Olly Timing was proud to serve as the primary timing provider for the 2026 Ngarluma Tri-Series, held at the Karratha Leisureplex in Western Australia from 8–10 July.
Now in its fourth year, the Tri-Series brought together emerging swimmers from Western Australia, Victoria and New Zealand for a week of high-performance racing, cultural learning and community connection, timed to coincide with NAIDOC Week celebrations on Ngarluma Country.
This event marked the first competitive outing for OllyGo in WA, our next-generation mobile timing system. Deploying OllyGo at a multi-team international competition of this scale was an important milestone, and the system performed well across five match races and three days of intense racing, keeping pace with a packed program of individual events, relays and skins races.
Our team worked closely with Swimming WA to train officials and staff in the operation of OllyGo, giving the local workforce hands-on experience with the platform they’ll continue to use at future meets. The photo above shows the team at work in the Karratha Leisureplex control room,.
The racing itself delivered plenty of highlights for OllyGo to capture cleanly, including New Zealand Black’s breakthrough overall win, WA All-Comers records from April Lin in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke, and a standout showing from WA’s Ciara Conroy, who swept the 25m, 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events and shaved over three and a half seconds off her entry time in the 200m. Fast, accurate results turnaround throughout the meet let coaches, officials and athletes focus on the racing rather than timing.
We thank Swimming WA for their commitment, and we look forward to seeing OllyGo continue to grow in the hands of their team at future competitions.
