Scoreboard is testing well

A public scoreboard that displays times to athletes, spectators and officials has been a frequently requested feature. We are now testing our new scoreboard and it’s looking good!

Olly Timing software can now provide a public scoreboard video feed via HDMI port that can plug directly into a plasma screen, such as seen here at Newcastle University Aquatic Centre.

Benefits

  • Everyone can swiftly see results without the need to consult online services or a paper noticeboard
  • Rapid results and professional presentation inspires confidence
  • No delays while Referee confirms times and placings

How it works

Times are displayed once they have been reviewed by the Olly Timing operator. These results are displayed in finish order, tagged by lane. Results are displayed as they become available, which will usually be prior to or during the next heat.

To avoid complexity, swimmers names are not displayed, nor event summaries or disqualifications.

The Referee and other officials can review results, if necessary, before they are published as official through traditional channels.

This scoreboard is designed for use when Olly Timing is the primary timing system, not when used as a backup for touchpads.

How to get our scoreboard

Our scoreboard is testing very well and we will shortly make it available to selected existing customers. Please contact us if you would like this for your next event.
